To save you time, this is my average prices on wedding dresses alterations:
The average price on a Wedding dress alterations is £400
Some minor alterations, on average are £200 to £300
Big dresses with a lot of layers and other dresses made of delicate lace, silk, can go from £400 to £600/£650 as more work is involved in the process. I will be happy to give you a quote.
Bridesmaids dresses and Guest dresses:
The average price on bridesmaids dresses is £150/£200
Those alterations/customisation listed above can contains: taking-in the sides from bust to waist ; creating a mermaid ; creating a lace-up/back ; opening a split in the skirt/front dress ; creating a V-shape opening on neckline from bust to waist ; adding new sleeves ; taking-in bottom hem ; shortening the train ; etc…

Depending on the fabric, duchesse satin, silk, organza, silk chiffon, lace, beaded lace etc. Price may vary.

You will normally require 2 to 3 fittings depending on the dress and complexity.
Terms and Conditions
1 If a Customer accepts a quotation, then the Customer will be deemed to have satisfied themselves as to the terms applying and have accepted these terms and conditions in full.
• Please read these terms and conditions carefully. Any purchase or use of our services implies that you have read and accepted our terms and conditions.
2 The contract between Valerie Moon and the Customer will be on these conditions, to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions. Any variations to these conditions shall have no effect unless agreed in writing – this can be by email and verified by the email ‘chain.’
3 The works to be carried out shall be as agreed with the customer in person. The timescale for the work will be agreed with the customer at the time of receipt. If the work is time limited, the customer must advise us before we accept the order so a mutually suitable time for completion and collection can be agreed.
4 Email, telephone calls & text messages will be the expected methods of communication. It is the Customer’s responsibility to inform us of any change in email address or telephone number. Valerie Moon cannot be held liable in any way relating to communication issues if we are not supplied up to date and correct contact details. Valerie Moon will acknowledge all emails & messages as soon as practicable.
5 If a customer’s conduct via telephone or in person is considered unreasonable, Valerie Moon reserves the right not to offer (or to refuse) further services to the customer.
6 Valerie Moon will only commence work for a customer when the following is completed:
• sufficient information & measurements to work on the order – these will be checked back with the customer
• sufficient materials (i.e. fabrics, samples of fabrics, trimmings, haberdashery or other items for the job) where these are to be supplied by the customer
• sufficient materials (i.e. fabrics, samples of fabrics, trimmings, haberdashery or other items for the job) where these are to be supplied by Valerie Moon for the customer.
7 Valerie Moon reserves the right to take a deposit of 25% of the total order quotation, in addition to the cost of the purchasing of any materials for the customer before commencing work.
8 Payments can be made by BACS transfer, cash or card.
9 Receipts for payment will normally be sent via electronic means (text or email.) Hard copy (paper) receipts are available on request
